Metal shop in North East, PA is looking for a production supervisor for their operations department. Responsible for all daily production activities including, but not limited to, quality, process implementation and improvement; scheduling, consumable inventory control, policy implementation, and safety. Manage all production personnel in their development. Ensure the quality of goods. Supervise all production aspects. This position is $40,000-$55,000/Year with 2nd shift hours (5pm-3am). Duties/Responsibilities:    Ensures that customer service goals are met for order accuracy with efficiency and high quality    Supervises and directs the activities of employees involved in production of goods - counts, quality, proper packaging for shipping and handling    Responsible for proper handling and storage of consumable products, maintaining inventory accuracy, and adhering to FIFO methods for storage of product    Ensures new process documentation and implementation    Maintain appropriate levels of scheduling of personnel to most efficiently and effectively meet production standards while minimizing downtime    Provide leadership and support to direct reports to discuss progress of work, resolve problems and ensure that standards for quality and quantity of work are met.    Develop written departmental procedures and work instructions    Ensure employee safety as is an assumed member of safety committee with expectation of performing accident investigations Requirements:    Must be licensed to operate a forklift    Experience in fast paced manufacturing environment where day to day challenges vary greatly    Provide leadership by establishing clear expectations and demonstrating high standards of work practices and safety conscious behavior    Ability to develop production staff through training and continuous improvement activities    Ability to schedule, organize, and manage work assignments in accordance with quality and customer service expectations    Excellent written and oral communication skills, including problem solving and team motivation    Knowledge of production management principles    Computer skills, including Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word    Ability to delegate duties while maintaining and the ability to multi-task    Implement cost reduction measures in all aspects of production transactions and activities
